Looking for home sweet home (moon over ditmas)

I am looking for a 1BR apartment in a private home with some type of outdoor space to nurture a tomato plant or enjoy the night sky.  My references are excellent, my income is stable (NYC public high school teacher), I am in my late 30's, and I am a non-smoker. I rented a floor in a beautiful home in the neighborhood for three years and loved the area and am ready to return. My upper limit is $1300/month.
