Clarinet Lessons

Paul Steinfeld

Clarinet Lessons for Students of All Ages

No matter how young or old you are, my focus is on helping you create a beautiful sound, enhancing your technique, improving your basic musical skills (scales, arpeggios, rhythm, sight reading), introducing you to the clarinet repertoire, and, if needed, helping you prepare for an audition.  Before a first lesson, at no charge, I will check your clarinet to see if it needs any repairs to pads, corks, springs, or keys, and can recommend where to have good repair work done.

I am principal clarinet of the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra, woodwind coach for the BSO Youth Orchestra, and for the past two years have been Director of the Clarinet Choir for the Make Music New York festival.  I have also performed with Brooklyn Repertory Opera, the 92nd Street Y Symphonic Workshop Orchestra, the Kingsborough Community College Concert Band, and in chamber music concerts in New York.  If you can get onto Facebook, you can listen to a sample of the clarinet choir here:  http://www.facebook.com/?tid=1487411338392&sk=messages#!/video/video.php?v=93802541908&oid=94406809658
