This apartment is super clean, recently renovated, 5 rooms in total. It is immaculate, bright, clever, interesting, charming, and quiet. It is close to Brooklyn College, Flatbush Junction, tons of shopping, it is at the Newkirk 2 and 5 train stop. Brooklyn College offers community residents membership to its gym and pool for a great price, the B and Q train are a short mile walk and happening Cortelyou St is a hop, skip and a jump away at 1.5 miles. The apartment is on the second floor of a privately owned house, the owners live downstairs. It is situated on a corner so it gets light from 3 directions; the house is south facing so it gets all the best light. The deck is private and huge, great for BBQ's and possibly a hammock! There is a beautiful living room with bay windows, which has a small alcove off of it, which would make a great office. The dining room has a coffered ceiling with a gorgeous stained glass window. It also has a great plate shelf that runs the perimeter of the room: such a beautiful detail! Both the front living room and the dining room have refinished parquet floors and enviable wood molding details. There are 2 large closets in the hallway; one has the ladder to the roof. The carpet in the hallway is brand new. Next to the kitchen in the hallway is an old dumbwaiter turned china cabinet. Outside the front door, in the hallway is a large area perfect for bike storage or just a general dumping spot for extra stuff. The kitchen is galley style, small but uses the space wisely. The tile floor, the counter, and the appliances are brand new. The ceiling fixtures are new in all rooms; the living room and bedroom both have new ceiling fans. The smaller of the two bedrooms is actually not very small, could easily fit a queen-sized bed and has a deep closet. The larger bedroom is farthest back from the front, has a new ceiling fan and gets tons of light, also with a perfectly fine closet, it could fit a king sized bed.
The bathroom is……funky; I guess you could call it. Looks as if it was installed in 1965, the door closed to the bathroom and it never used for all these years. It really is immaculate; it's just all GREEN. The floor, the walls, the toilet, the sink, it's all green! Takes a special taste in interior design to appreciate it. Hoping to find that person who will appreciate it because we think it's great!
Looking for people to rent the apartment that have a liberal attitude, that have a low-key style. Pets are encouraged, just not strange exotics. Non-smokers of cigarettes are preferred. We, the owners, are cool and creative. We are quiet and private, helpful and smart, hoping to accommodate just the right tenants.
