Curated by Brooklyn independent dancer/choreographer Erin Gottwald, this newest of Spoke the Hub's concert series gathers artists and performers of all stylistic bents from cities beyond New York, providing a window into unknown dance territory. These out-of-towners have been invited to share their work in the artistically burgeoning industrial and residential neighborhood of the Gowanus in Brooklyn. This year, the Gowanus Guest Room hosts artists from Toronto, Boston and Pittsburgh.

Erika Batdorf, an award winning alternative theatre artist, has created, performed, directed and choreographed original theater since 1983. Her work has appeared in Indonesia, South Korea, France, Switzerland, Copenhagen and across the USA including many NYC, Boston and Toronto venues. She has four Dora nominations (Toronto's Toni's) and was the 2007 Summerworks' Jury Prize winner. Her work made the top ten theatre productions of the year twice- 2010 and 2006 in NOW magazine.
