The Consolation Center-Haiti (CCH) is a new girls' school and orphanage, located outside of Les Cayes, in the southern part of Haiti. CCH provides food, shelter, clothing, health care, an education and loving care to 35 girls - ages 2 to 16 - who have been orphaned, abandoned, or rescued from a life of poverty, starvation and slavery. Spoke the Hub became active partners with CCH in 2011 and looks forward to helping improve the quality of life for all who live in and around the center for many years to come. We encourage you to come  join us Sunday, October 16 at 3pm in support of the girls at CCH. All proceeds from the fundraiser go toward supporting the programs, staff and girls living at CCH. Read more at www.consolationcenterhaiti.org.

Many supporters of Spoke the Hub have come forward to present fundraising events for the ongoing efforts to raise money for CCH. This upcoming October event will be hosted by Elena Cary and her remarkably talented family. Elena, who worked at Spoke the Hub in the office for two years, will perform with her parents Nadine Earl (soprano) and Norman Carey(pianist),  plus husband Todd Liebowitz (of Madame Beak Band) in a family concert entitled "LET ME SING AND I AM HAPPY". Do not miss this incredible event. Have fun while raising money for an amazing cause.

Refreshments, jewelry and metal work from Haiti available for purchase at the event. Come early and take the artists open studios tour in the rest of the building as part of the weekends annual Gowanus Art Tour!
