                EXAMPLES OF CLASS PROJECTS

Have you ever gone to a craft show and thought you'd love to make your own jewelry? This six-session course is designed to help you acquire the basic skills you need to make beautiful contemporary jewelry from beads and wire. You'll learn how to professionally string necklaces and bracelets, make delicate or bold chains from beads and wire; make earrings and earring wires and a variety of other projects. You'll also learn how to make simple repairs to your own jewelry.

Learn from CJ Segal-Isaacson, our neighborhood jewelry craftsperson and owner of Hungry Cat Café Jewelry (www.hungrycatcafejewelry.com) who regularly exhibits her jewelry at fine art and craft shows throughout the metropolitan area. The course will be held at her home and studio in the Ditmas Park neighborhood.

The course starts Thursday, March 1 from 7pm to 9:30pm and costs $250. The course fee includes a set jewelry tools that participants keep, glass beads, stringing materials, copper clasps, copper wire and brass wire. Tools include 4 types of jewelry pliers, a wire cutter and a bead board.
