We are relocating and have to let our nanny of two years go. Marcia has been with us since our daughter was three months old. She is amazing with infants-- having had over 20 years experience as a nanny and as a baby nurse. She has also raised two incredibly smart, graceful and considerate daughters. She kept such careful notes for me about eating and sleeping, making leaving for work the first time, and every day after, so much easier. We have never been worried about our daughter while she was in Marcia's care. This past year, we shared her with another family three days a week. On those days she took care of our daughter, now turning 2, and a baby boy, now turning 1. She took them to music classes and other classes, the library, the park, and came up with fun things for them to do together. Marcia nurtured our daughter's love for music and dance, and her love of books. She taught her so many things, including how to dress herself, and to say thank you. She is considerate and extremely intelligent and kind. We came home every day to a very happy baby and a very clean, organized house.
She has been a true partner and has helped us navigate the first years of parenthood. Our lives will not be the same without her. I am certain that you could not find another nanny who takes her job as seriously as Marcia, or who enjoys and takes pride in what she does as much as Marcia does. Our daughter has loved her from day 1, and we are devastated to lose her!
