"A Clean Church Avenue"

On Saturday, July 30, 2011 from 9:00am - noon, the Church Avenue Business Improvement District will be hosting “A Clean Church Avenue” to paint over graffiti on storefronts and other buildings, add mulch to trees along the avenue, and remove posters from property from Coney Island Ave. to Flatbush Ave.  Volunteers are needed!

 

The clean up will be followed by a volunteer thank you lunch on the grounds of the Flatbush Reformed Church.

 

Interested individuals and groups should go to info@churchavenue.org or call Nivine Faraj at 718-282-2500 ext. 63224 to register. When registering, please include your name(s), cell number, email address, and mailing address.  Be sure to check our website www.churchavenue.org on Fri. July 29th for updates. We hope to see you there!

 

The clean-up initiative and thank you party are sponsored by Con Edison, National Grid, Downtown Natural, Meat Palace, Q-Train Deli, and Flatbush Latin Grill, and in partnership with New York City’s Graffiti-Free NYC program, the Brooklyn Borough President’s Graffiti-Free Brooklyn initiative, the MTA and the Flatbush Reformed Church.
