young families open house at EMJC; learn about swim program, Judaic programs

Neighbors,

Interested in the parent/child aquatics program at East Midwood Jewish Center?
Wondering about Judaic programs for families with young children?
Thinking about the high holidays or getting more involved with a synagogue?
EMJC is holding a young families open house on Sunday, Sept. 18, from 10:30-1:00.
Neighborhood families with children ages 6 months-4 years are invited to meet the aquatics staff and try out the pool.  We'll also have registration forms on hand if you want to enroll.  Classes will be held late mornings on Fridays and Sundays. The first cycle begins next week, Sept. 23.

All young children must have swim diapers! In addition to bathing suits and towels, all adults and kids must have appropriate poolside shoes (such as flipflops or crocs). Swim caps are required for hair that's shoulder length or longer.

Jewish families are also invited to speak with me about children's Judaic programs available at EMJC.
We have an extremely popular Tot Shabbat program, a Saturday morning service for little children, and a new monthly class for little learners and their adult escorts.  For the high holidays, we have a song/story program for babies through age 6, services for kids 7-12, plus services for kids 13 and up  And our new early childhood space is almost ready!

EMJC is at 1625 Ocean Ave., between K & L. It's an egalitarian Conservative congregation. Room J, EMJC's youth and family space, welcomes everyone.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
