DETAILS:                 Celebrate the 10^th anniversary of the closure of Fresh Kills landfill and the birth of the park at the 2^nd annual Sneak Peak! Autumn is the most beautiful season to see the hills and creeks of the future Freshkills Park, on Staten Island’s west shore. 

 

This year’s event offers nearly three miles of walking paths and more than two miles for those who bring bikes to explore. Check out kayak tours, numerous public artworks and performances, food trucks, a full craft market, a smartphone self-guide app and free water taxi and shuttle bus service to and from the St. George Ferry Terminal.  .
