We're looking for someone interested in a short-term rental of our apartment
between july 5 and 19. Please email me if you are interested!

All details below. thanks! Katherine
-------------------

We are renting our lovely, modern and very sunny Brooklyn apartment. Our
apartment is a big, very clean two bedroom and well suited for a couple with one
or 2 children. The apartment is located in a neighborhood called Ditmas Park
which is close to Prospect Park and known for its old Victorian mansions. Ditmas
Park is a very green and very safe neighborhood which has a neighborly and
kid-friendly feel to it. There are many artists living here and people come from
all over the city to its well-known restaurants.

Our apartment is fully furnished, with large windows, wooden floors, and a
fully-equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms (1 bathtub, 1 shower) and a sunny deck. Each
room has separately controllable ac/heat. The apartment comes with high speed
internet, a movie projection system, a clothes washer and a dishwasher. Sheets,
towels, blankets, blowdryer, etc. are provided. The apartment is in a small, new
building (finished 2009). It has an elevator and therefore can be accessed with
wheelchair or stroller.

The apartment has two queen-sized beds, one single-person sleeper sofa in the
living room, and one child bed in the master bedroom and can accommodate 5
adults and 1 child.

We are located in Ditmas Park which is considered one of the most interesting
and diverse neighborhoods in Brooklyn. Affordable shops, several excellent,
high-end restaurants with delicious food, 2 coffee shops, 2 hip bars, a food
coop and a large health food store, a health collective which offers affordable
yoga classes and much more called "Third Root", and a herbal pharmacy, a wine
store (includes organic wine) and 2 playgrounds are only one minute away. A
farmer's market is being held on Sundays. The Apt is on the same block as 'The
Farm on Adderley (restaurant), which got rated by Time Out Magazine as the "best
reason to ride the Q train." At the end of this post you can find some links to
our neighborhood, the neighborhood blog, its restaurants. etc.

Transportation:
Prospect Park (Brooklyn's best park!) can be reached in 5 min by bicycle or
within 10 minutes on foot through an area with beautiful, free standing
Victorian homes. The Q-train and the B-train are 5 minutes away and the F-train
15 minutes. The Q-train for example brings you to SoHo in 18 minutes. A ride to
Union Square takes about 25 minutes. Several express buses to Manhattan are also
available and are less than 1 minute away from our apartment. The ocean can be
reached via subway in about 20 minutes as well.

We are looking for a responsible, quiet, and respectful people who don't smoke
and have no pets. Deposit which will be returned to you upon seeing that nothing
is damaged in the apartment when you leave.
