So, two of our lovely roommates are moving. We are sad to see them go, but.... this could be your opportunity to live in a great house (yes, a HOUSE!), in a cool location (right off of Cortelyou Rd., great restaurants, wine bar, Vox Pop coffee shop, organic grocery stores, farmer's market, right off the B/Q line & a walk to the F/G and Prospect Park) with awesome roommates. The house has two floors, five bedrooms, two bathrooms (1 per floor), a kitchen with a dishwasher, a large living room, and two fabulous porches to gaze at the tree-lined streets in the front and beautiful weeping willow in the back! Presently, we have one room that will be available for July 1st (the other room just got snagged!). The first floor room is roughly 12x10, has an amazing built-in wooden floor-to-ceiling book/anything shelf, hardwood floors and a high ceiling to boot, and is available July 1st ($625). Utilies are included in the rent (sweet deal!)! Another plus: the landlord lives downstairs in a separate section of the house and is very responsive about repairs and needs of the house.
About us: we are two ladies and one guy; late 20's to mid 30's; laid back; an active bunch with porch lounging thrown in for good measure; diverse; excited about life's happenings; good communicators. Between the three of us, we are: a grad student and part-time teacher; our very own resident "Betty Crocker" (seriously, the most delectable cupcakes!)/performer/writer; and a filmmaker/writer.
What we're looking for? A cool person who is excited about what's next in their life; good (open, direct, respectful) communication skills; a value for cleanliness without being neat freaks; preferably past the mid 20's mark. What else? Someone who appreciates, and can contribute to a sense of community, while having their own going on's and are mindful of individual space/time/boundaries. Oh, and this is a non-smoking house. No pets or room shares. Security deposit and first month's rent required for move-in.
