Cecilia Cortez For City Council District 40 Brooklyn, 2021

Dear Neighbors;
How are you?
I hope you are well and healthy.

As I Cecilia Cortez, continue campaigning to become the City Council Member for District 40 in Brooklyn, I want to give a big shout out to teachers all over.
This is Teacher Appreciation Week. Teachers are doing exceptional work above and beyond their duties by being there for their students under these circumstances. They, like everyone, never imagined they would go through this. Yet they are doing an extraordinary job by continuing to educate their students online. We must protect teachers by giving them the tools and training they need in this new era. We must also ensure that schools are safe and clean for eventual re-opening. As a City Council Member, I will advocate for teacher and student safety and adequate resources.

It is Mother's Day this week. We must protect ourselves and our mothers. By continuing to stay home, keeping social distance, and washing hands often you will be giving the best present to your mother - staying alive and healthy.
I am very thankful to all the first responders and essential workers. They continue to keep us healthy. Specially, nurses who are taking care of sick people every day.
