NYC PARKS HOSTS JOUSTERS, JUGGLERS AND JESTERS AT 32ND ANNUAL MEDIEVAL FESITVAL IN FORT TRYON PARK: MANHATTAN

DETAILS: In the shadow of the world famous Cloisters, The Medieval Festival transforms Fort Tryon Park into an era-themed market town decorated with bright banners and processional flags. Delighting all that come to this event, festival-goers enjoy authentic period music, dance, magic, and minstrels, as well as jousters, jugglers and jesters.
In its 32nd year, the annual Medieval Festival at Fort Tryon Park draws nearly 75,000 people for activities including storytelling, puppet theater, falconry demonstrations, a living chess game, music, and food of the era. The afternoon is concluded with a thrilling joust between four knights on horseback. Costumed vendors will be on hand to demonstrate and sell a wide variety of medieval crafts, as well as food and drink. Experience the culture of a bygone era against the backdrop of the Cloisters museum and the Hudson River..
This free, unique experience is for all ages. Attending dressed in festive medieval costume is encouraged.
