LEARN TO RIDE A BIKE
DATE/
TIME/
LOCATION: Parks will be hosting Learn to Ride lessons throughout the month of May, at various locations in the five boroughs.
DETAILS: NYC Parks and Bike New York are proud to present Learn to Ride classes throughout the month of May. The free classes, taking place at locations throughout the city, teach children the fundamentals of bicycling, preparing them for years of safe and confident riding.
Using the “balance first” method, parents help get their children rolling while the child does most of the work. Participants learn the basics of balancing, starting, stopping, and steering a bike. Most people learn to ride their bike while taking the class, but even if they don’t, they will leave with an easy, hands-free, crash-free, and low-stress way to learn to ride.
For more information and a schedule of Learn to Ride events, visit: www.nycgovparks.org/events/learn_to_ride.
Participants must pre-register and must bring their own bicycle and helmet.
