DETAILS:                 Celebrate the future of NYC parks at Freshkills Park’s 3^rd annual Sneak Peak. The former landfill on Staten Island’s western shore is being transformed into the City’s largest park but is not yet open to the public. Don’t miss this special opportunity to get a first look!

This year’s event offers nearly three miles of walking paths and more than two miles for those who bring bikes to explore the park’s peaks. Check out kayak tours, numerous public artworks and performances, food trucks, a local artisan craft market, and pony rides for the kids. There will be continuous shuttle bus service to and from the St. George Ferry Terminal.   New York Water Taxi is also providing a free ride to Freshkills Park from Battery Park/Slip 6 at 12:30pm and a return trip to the Battery from the Park at 2:30pm.
