NYC PARKS GREENTHUMB INVITES NEW YORKERS TO 42ND ANNUAL HARVEST FAIR CELEBRATION--IN PERSON

342 Pleasant Ave. (Btwn. E. 119th - E. 118th streets) 

MANHATTAN 

 

EVENT:                      The 42nd Annual NYC Parks GreenThumb Harvest Fair is on! Come and celebrate GreenThumb gardeners as the community gardening season comes to a close with workshops, cooking demonstrations, greening partners, and more! 

 

This free, in-person, family-friendly event will also include art, music, games, and an opportunity for New Yorkers to come out and enjoy the day at the Pleasant Village Community Garden.

Slow down and enjoy the sipping moment together. Join Tea Arts & Culture for a tasting journey, exploring teas from different regions around the world. 

 

Growing Micro-greens on Your Windowsill 

11 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. 

Learn how to save money and extend the growing season using one of the oldest methods of window farming.

GreenThumb is the largest community gardening program in the country, with more than 550 community gardens across the city, totaling over 100 acres. 

 

Established in 1978, GreenThumb provides programming, material support, and technical assistance to community gardens in New York City. GreenThumb's 20,000 community gardeners produce more than 500,000 pounds of food each year.
