WE'RE READY TO JAM: ARE YOU? WINTER JAM, THAT IS!
Snow or Shine. New York City's Ultimate Snow Day is On!
DATE: Saturday, January 26, 2019
TIME: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
LOCATION: Central Park Bandshell

DETAILS: Parks is ready to host thousands from across the City at this year's ultimate winter sports festival. Winter Jam, in its' 18th year, is for kids of all ages, and held in Central Park. A free event, Winter Jam 2019 is presented by Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA), I Love NY, Ski Areas of NY (I SKI NY) and is produced in partnership with NYPD Transit Outreach, MS4, DOE Pre-K For All, Stewardship, Thrive NYC. Sponsors for this year's event include: REI, CLIF Bar, as well as, Chameleon Cold Brew, Guitar Center, Lifeway, and Animal Planet Puppy Bowl.
New Winter Jam activities include:
· Infinite Slope – New!
· Bobsled Photo "Booth" – New!
· Animal Planet Puppy Bowl Zone – New!
· Ice Sculpture Garden—featuring four ice sculptures – New!
· Puppet Making
Returning Winter Jam features include:
· Live Ice Sculpting Exhibition – Noon to 2 p.m.
· Learn to Ski
· Sledding
· Curling
· Ice Bowling
· Flag Football
· Dodge Ball
· REI
o Snowshoeing
o Snow shovel sled "race" – for the kiddies
· NYC Parks Urban Park Rangers Sachet Making
· NYC Parks Alley Pond Adventure Course Activities
o Geo Crossing Activity (team building activity)
· Winter Food Market
o Guests can warmup under heat lamps in Adirondack chairs and try samples!
o Guests can purchase select food items from upstate NY vendors!
· Food Trucks
Activity Lines are subject to close early.
In years past, Winter Jam has boasted more than 25,000 visitors to New York City's ultimate snow day.
Participants in a number of our activations must sign a waiver. The waivers will be provided at the event. If under 18, they must have a legal guardian present with photo identification to sign the waiver.
