RECYCLE YOUR HOLIDAY TREE WITH NYC PARKS!
MulchFest Recycles Holiday Trees for 22nd Year
Early Tree Drop-Off Available December 31-January 5
Volunteer for Winter Tree Care Activities on January 6—Registration Open
DETAILS: For more than 20 years, MulchFest has provided New Yorkers with a fun, environmentally-friendly, free way to recycle their holiday trees in neighborhood parks across the city. For those unable to drop off their trees during the two day MulchFest, trees can still be recycled at drop-off only sites the week prior. NYC Parks uses MulchFest-created woodchips to nourish tree beds and gardens all over New York City.
MulchFest is also a great opportunity to volunteer to help with winter tree care by joining our stewardship teams to protect young trees from the cold weather. Volunteer registration is open for Saturday, Jan. 6.
New Yorkers who drop off their trees at MulchFest chipping sites will receive a FREE branded tote bag and a small mulch-filled potpourri sachet.
MulchFest is hosted in partnership with NYC Department of Sanitation and GreenNYC, and supported this year by Whole Foods and Cabot.
