As a real estate broker, I have spent the past fifteen years on the battlefields of Brooklyn, shifting between  real estate, civic duty and community based planning efforts . My business has exposed me to the individuals and institutions governing public life in New York City. 
Working with licensed architects and contractors has provided me with the foundations of an education on building restoration, new construction developments, and conversion projects, as well as many mechanical details from floorboards to boilers. Through my membership in several important Brooklyn-based organizations, including Community Board 6, Resilient Red Hook and Columbia Waterfront Neighborhood Association,  I have attended countless meetings concerning an array of issues that affect our neighborhood from resiliency to social justice, affordable housing to economic development. 

Engaging in and supporting our community remains a top priority.  As is our dedication to bringing a higher, more honest level of service to our clients and to creating not just a home but a connection. Do You Know The Difference Between A Reverse Mortgage vs Home Equity Loan?

A reverse mortgage is a special type of home loan that lets you convert a portion of the equity in your home into cash. The equity that you built up over years of making mortgage payments can be paid to you.  However, unlike a traditional home equity loan or second mortgage, HECM borrowers do not have to repay the HECM loan until the borrowers no longer use the home as their principal residence or fail to meet the obligations of the mortgage.  You can also use a HECM to purchase a primary residence if you are able to use cash on hand to pay the difference between the HECM proceeds and the sales price plus closing costs for the property you are purchasing.

  • The deposit and purchase price for the real estate property should be paid using retirement account funds and not from any disqualified person(s)
