EVENT: Join NYC Parks as we turn the Big Apple into the country’s largest urban adventure playground at the 11th annual Adventures NYC, a celebration of all things outdoors! Get ready to hike, bike, climb and paddle as we celebrate NYC Parks and the great outdoors. This year's event has a new twist - it will feature the 30th Anniversary of the Stihl Timbersports Lumberjacking Competition! Additional sponsors this year include Backpacker Magazine, Bassmaster, I Love NY, Ski Vermont, Smugglers’ Notch Resort, Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing, NY Liberty, Adidas, Blue Buffalo, Gregory, Honest Tea, Maui Jim, Nuun, Ruffwear, Salomon, Suunto, Tamron, and Timberland Pro.
DETAILS: On Saturday, June 20, come to Central Park and enjoy a day of outdoor adventure – for FREE! Activities will include:

· Kayaking
· Wheelchair Basketball
· Fishing Demonstrations
· Outdoor Gear Exhibits
· Free Bike Valet Parking
· Fitness classes with Shape Up NYC
Please note that lines are subject to close early to ensure that the event ends at 5:30 p.m.
Certain activities will require a waiver, which will be provided at the event for participants to sign. Participants under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian present to sign the waiver. Additionally, children must be at least 5 years of age to participate in kayaking.
This event is FREE, open to the public, and rain or shine!
