TIME:                          11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

LOCATION:                Freshkills Park

                                    250 Wild Avenue

DETAILS:                   Celebrate the future of NYC parks at Freshkills Park's 5th  annual "Sneak Peak" event. The former landfill on Staten Island's western shore is being transformed into a park three times the size of Central Park, but is not yet open to the public. Don't miss this special opportunity to get a first look!

This year's event offers nearly three miles of walking paths and more than two miles for those who bring bikes to explore the park's peaks. The event will include kayaking, birding, yoga classes, walking tours, climbing walls, kite flying, and live music. Parking at the site is free.  There will be continuous shuttle bus service to and from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal at St. George.
