Workshop this SAT 5/19: Herbs & Whole Foods for Stress

Dear Friends,

I hope May is being good to you all, that your spirits are light and your days are playful...

I will be teaching a workshop this Saturday, May 19th, on the use of herbs and whole foods for stress and would love to have you there.  It is this very subject that first brought me to the wonderful world of plant medicines, so I am most excited to be presenting this workshop.  I will be serving up herbal elixirs and some nerve nourishing teas.

CREATING CALM:  HERBS & WHOLE FOODS FOR STRESS

In this workshop, you will learn how to use herbs and whole foods to manage stress and strengthen your nervous system.  We will discuss the role of nervine herbs, such as Oatsraw and Tulsi, and their ability to nourish the nerves, making the body better equip to handle stresses as they arise.  Herbs can also be used as gentle sedatives for those moments when you feel anxious, restless or overwhelmed.  Many whole foods can also be used to ground and calm us; we will at look such foods and discuss how your diet directly affects your stress threshold.

Tea + herbal elixirs will be served!
