Let me know what you think and please share with your loved ones! Stay tuned next week for “Bang Bang”! God bless, Sean Listen on Spotify here!Lyrics:Blind men see what they want to see Taking turns taking the lead But they’re following the leader, the leader round the place Sometimes I feel like I’m from outer space Stranger strangers there have never been Some strangers have their work cut out for them Ugly, unwanted, and wicked faces in the rain Stranger strangers there have never been Here’s why Jesus had to come We’re far too blind, deaf, and dumb But we’re following the leader off a cliff Loyal lemmings, flailing fish Stranger strangers there have never been Some strangers have their work cut out for them Ugly, unwanted, and wicked faces in the rain Stranger strangers there have never been Blind men see what they want to see Real men reveal reality Stranger strangers there have never been Some strangers have their work cut out for them Ugly, unwanted, and wicked faces in the rain Stranger strangers there have never been You're currently a free subscriber to Sean McMahon. To Die Is Gain
Happy New Music Friday everyone! Today’s new release is a little folk country tune inspired by Philippians 1:21: “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” — but with more of a romantic twist. The sentiment arose out of many a conversation Katie and I have had, praying our story ends peacefully, at the same time, as we’re ancient (I’d be ok with 130) and holding hands in the same bed, like the (spoiler alert) ending of “The Notebook.” Listen to this week’s #NewMusicFriday tune, “To Die Is Gain” below. Let me know what you think and please share with your loved ones! Stay tuned next week for “Stranger Strangers”! God bless, Sean Listen on Spotify here!Lyrics:Life is tough as a tack and hard as a nail So I’m prone to flights of fancy and climbing tall tales And all that’s anchoring this hot air balloon Keeping me from flying off too soon Is knowing that you need me like I need you To die is gain, there’s too much trouble on this here plane To die is gain, but that’d cause you too much pain I want to live forever so’s that I’s can stay for your sake And get a glimpse of heaven, while I’m in this place, in your face To live is to love you To die is gain You’re so melancholy, I’m so blue Oh, it’s oh so overwhelming, what do we do? Well, seal up those teary fountains For faith can move these mountains But I do believe we’ll be climbing ‘til our days are through To die is gain, there’s too much trouble on this here plane To die is gain, but that’d cause you too much pain I want to live forever so’s that I’s can stay for your sake And get a glimpse of heaven, while I’m in this place, in your face To live is to love you To die is gain One fine morning when this life is over I’ll be there to help you through the door In this world, we’ll grow frail and old But in the one to come, I can hold you forevermore No more tears, no more sorrow, nor pain To die is gain, there’s too much trouble on this here plane To die is gain, but that’d cause you too much pain I want to live forever so’s that I’s can stay for your sake And get a glimpse of heaven, while I’m in this place, in your face To live is to love you To die is gain You're currently a free subscriber to Sean McMahon.
