NYC PARKS ANNOUNCES VIRTUAL COMMUNITY INPUT MEETING FOR BRAND NEW RECREATION CENTER IN EAST FLATBUSH
DATES: Thursday, November 19, 2020
TIME: 6 - 7 p.m.
LOCATION: Virtual Meeting - More Information Below
EVENT:
NYC Parks invites Brooklyn residents to virtually participate in a visioning and planning meeting to discuss the brand-new Shirley Chisholm Recreation Center at Nostrand Playground.
By launching virtual community input meetings, NYC Parks is re-imagining community outreach in response to the need for social distancing during the current COVID-19 pandemic. These meetings are open to the public and will provide an opportunity for New Yorkers to voice their ideas on design enhancements in their neighborhoods.
DETAILS:
Following the community input session, Parks will develop a design that is likely to feature a multipurpose room, state of the art media center, basketball court and gym. The completed project is also expected to feature an indoor pool and a teaching kitchen.
Participation is free, but registration is required to attend. Please register here. Participants will receive a link to their meeting after completing the registration process.
If you are unable to attend the virtual session, you may submit ideas, input, and questions to BKspecialevents@parks.nyc.gov through December 3, 2020.
