DETAILS: In partnership with the New York City Center, NYC Parks will be hosting free performances at a recreation center in each borough.
The inaugural City Center on the Move tour will bring world-class talent like tap dancer Ayodele Casel, along with dancers Luke Hickey and Andre Imanishi, bass player Amanda Ruzza, drummer Zack O’Farrill and six-time Grammy Award-winner Arturo O’Farrill to a neighborhood near you.
The two week tour presentation entitled Rooted will wrap-up on Sunday, April 14 at City Center’s Studio 5.
All performances are free and open to the public. Visit City Center on the Move to reserve your seat.

DETAILS: Join NYC Parks GreenThumb as we celebrate our 35th annual GrowTogether Conference and kick-off the New York City community gardening season! The day will be packed with workshops on garden related topics and activities including a seed swap (bring your seeds to share!), kids' activities, vegetable growing techniques, and new lunchtime meetups and intensives. Gardeners who bring their hydrant letter from GreenThumb may be eligible to get their hydrant permit from DEP on the spot!
This year's GrowTogether Conference will feature a keynote address by Onika Abraham - the director of Farm School NYC, which offers adults comprehensive, professional training in sustainable agriculture that is grounded in social and food justice.
