NYC PARKS INVITES YOU TO HELP PLAN THE FUTURE OF NEWPORT PLAYGROUND IN BROOKLYN

DATES, TIMES &

LOCATIONS:                Thursday, April 7 – 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

                                    Newport Playground

PS 41

411 Thatford Avenue

BROOKLYN

DETAILS:                     NYC Parks invites community members to participate in public input meetings where the future of their neighborhood parks and playgrounds—complete Community Parks Initiative transformations and reconstructions—will be discussed.

At each open to the public meeting, NYC Parks’ planners and designers share information about the park and the capital process before turning it over to community members for facilitated brainstorming.  As participants in these meetings, community members have their voices heard and dictate shared priorities for new and renovated park features—such as mini-pools, water play features, playgrounds, sports courts and fields.

Through CPI, we’ve created new connections between community members and their parks, and now we’re expanding its reach and investing in even more neighborhood parks.
